1st step to my sculpture

To start my sculpture the first thing i needed to do was to shape my wire. The second thing I had to do was to start to shape my wire. I did this by scrunching up newspaper and attaching it to my wire with masking tape. I have now completed the first two steps and it was lucky that i had a good picture of me running on my usb that i can use to shape my body. Now I am up to paper mache.

Finishing our painting

31/05/10

I have finally completed my self portrait! The final step I had to make sure to complete was my dot work. The pattern I have in my dot work has many circles I used a variety of colours, which go with my backround colour.

I have enjoyed this task and look forward to the sculptures!

Annalysing Paintings

In the lesson before our test a sheet was given to us as a practise task. It made us use the terms we have learnt in art (elements, princibles). IN this task we had to describe the paintings, what emotions they had e.c.t.

Making a skin colour

In today's art lesson I was faced with the problem of having to make skin colour. It was quite hard to make the perfect colour to match ours. To make the perfect colour I had to test different shades using a page in my art book. TO make the colour I used lots of white, a tich of red and some of the yellowy grey colour.

Currently in art

In art we are currently drawing a picture of of our seld using negative shapes. When we draw this we are also doing it upside down to turn the left side of the braing off. I am really enjoying art right now.

Auntie Sally

A couple of weeks ago a lady called Auntie Sally visited our school. She is an aboriginal artist and showed how to draw ourself using negative space. Ardy Sally was able to paint a picture of me during her time at St Hilda's.
